1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 Super Sport in Cranberry Red with Black Stripes over Parchment Bucket Seat Interior. Equipped with an LS6 454ci Engine mated to a Muncie M22 4-Speed Transmission. This genuine LS6 car has been certified by Chevrolet expert Jerry MacNeish. According to his report (shown in photo gallery) this car is an extremely original and unrestored example which he expresses should remain unrestored. MacNeish's report concludes that the car is still wearing most of it's original paint and retains it's original LS6 engine, Muncie transmission, and 12-Bolt rear end. MacNeish explains in his report that while the original interior code calls for Black bucket seats, the Parchment interior in the car is original Chevrolet interior and not a reproduction, so he believes that this could have either been a mistake on from the factory, or the original owner may have switched his Black interior for Parchment early in the cars life. Factory options on this particular car included; Strato-back bucket seats, Vinyl top, Hood & decklid stripes, Special performance suspension, Power brakes, Disc brakes in front, LS6 454ci Engine, M22 HD transmission, Power steering, Heavy duty battery, AM-FM radio, Instrument panel gauges, W/S antenna, Special ducted hood, and SS 454 equipment. Mileage on the odometer (64k) is believed to be original to the car, and the condition of this unrestored car backs that up. Just 4,475 1970 LS6 Chevelles were built, many of which were blown up on the street or race track due to the abuse these types of cars took, so finding an LS6 car with this much originality is extremely hard.
